if a pumped elf/merc does *read inside* whats its weakness?

    ~2+ raw wpa
    ~4+ raw tpa

along RM+CS will pretty much keep you safe.

    1. Homes: 474 (15%)
    2. Farms: 221 (7%)
    3. Training Grounds: 474 (15%)
    4. Barracks: 221 (7%)
    5. Forts: 316 (10%)
    6. Guard Stations: 474 (15%)
    7. Guilds: 316 (10%)
    8. Towers: 95 (3%)
    9. Thieves' Dens: 474 (15%)
    10. Stables: 95 (3%)

Merc helps with low income, GS helps protect against chaining.

will probably need some rune aid from kd mates with low towers, but its ok.

only thing i can think of is wait till he gets fat before NSing him down.

well i just stuck my spare land in there. could just as easily shift it to something else.

either way its certainly not a weakness.

btw this isnt my prov, mine is similar though.

    er....
    2 major weakness'
    1. lack of pop to run a decent army =)
(only people that can run 6 pop/acre as T/M and still have military are humies with sci and gnomes!)
    2. your income will suck, elf econ sucks, period
even as merch, with no banks, its still gonna suck

also, why are you running CS + TD's?
one is defensive, the other offensive...

as a/t u really dont have room to keep GS if u want a decent military

u r right, a pumped elf is pretty hard to crack open with t/m ops. but their weakness is that they are just not very strong

the GS is spouse to be for chaining protection which everyone keeps saying is a huge elf weakness.

i dont run GS in my build since im the biggest in my kd and there's no chance i would get chained in war.

i run 10% banks instead, but im not a merc.

my elf has 32 ppa with pretty high honor.

with baron honor and good science im sure someone could reach 28-29, or even 30 pop/acre

    4 tpa
    2 wpa
    6 dspec
    10 elite
    8 ppa

basically what i run except i have more ppa. i believe you can get ~78 opa and 40 dpa as a baron

i know elf has the worst economy in the game but all age long ive never had trouble pumping elites or rebuilding after a war.

Take your bonuses and hunt some gold mines. in war elves hardly need money

except an orc will lose out to T/M ops without def spells, and troop loss in the long run without the bonus.

except that the orc will have WAY more offense than the elf

no one race is 100% superior than another, theres always trade offs. elves have better endurance and speed, in exchange of weaker military, as i've said above

Your weaknesses are zero economy and inability to cope with lots of hits over a short amount of time.
Three are enough to ruin elves.

It doesn't matter what you try - you'll always have those two.

In addition, you have a third, and that's being very low on peasants.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

doesn't matter what you try? so an elf merc running massive banks and GS will still have these problems? maybe reletively speaking they will be weaker then their counter parts, but the buildings will certainly do their job in covering the weaknesses of elves.

and whats with all the economy hate now, i always thought the pro-way was ZERO banks in war.

orc may have more offense but the elf military isnt exactly weak. and orcs lose out in everything else.

The only way to combat the horrid elf economy is through all the credits you get through attacking. You can either go warrior and get in more attacks, or go War Hero and got more credits per attack.

elfs economy is just as good as dwarves, DE who refuse to ToG and gnomes who refuse to steal. ppl have the impression of elves having poor economy is because they have no income bonus, however they forgot that elves also have low expense, and MOST IMPORTANTLY elf can protect their peasants best from t/m. so in the end those 4 races are more or less even in terms of economy

i really dont know why, but it just seems to me these days ppl in this forum thinks 0% bank + high draft = pro. well its not...

and ppl really shouldnt be comparing elves and orcs like this. each race have weaknesses and strengths. a pro player is not someone that can make the perfect province, but one that first ADMITS his province is not perfect, and ACKNOWLEDGE his enemy prov's strengths, then do things to avoid their strength and use ur strength against their weakness.

-50% combat losses is a big economic bonus.

Which you use by attacking a lot and building up credits
