Question BE and Guide Building %'s Not Adding Up

    Ok, I was wondering...

I have 105.1% BE and my buildings numbers are not adding up at.

For example... banks are supposed to get (% * 1.25) for income bonus. Yet mine is only getting (% * 0.86). The list goes down the line for all my buildings. Completely makes no sense to me considering my BE is 5.1% over 100%...

    Any help much appreciated, thanks!

The effect of % based buildings is: (x-x^2)*BE*[building effect, 1.25 in the case of banks] where x is your ratio of that building.

    10% banks is: (0.1-0.1*0.1)*1.051*1.25=+11.8% income
    Each bank is %*1.18

Cutting out the math, it's called declining building efficiency. Each building decreases in effectiveness the more you build.

Each % based building that is, capacity and flat rate buildings do not suffer from declining building efficiency.

    Hmmm, interesting. So any suggestions?

From listening to that, I took my all TG army and split it half and half with forts to get more efficiency. Also, I am considering splitting banks and arms? But it still doesnt make sense to do that as a Human I don't think.

And will more population increase those %'s on the buildings because they'll each have more workers? I'm assuming so... according to the guide.

Mixing TGs and Forts is a good thing to do. Arms are likely not worth it, especially not for humans.

More peasants would only increase the effects as long as you have more than 33% unfilled jobs (which you probably do, check the adviser). The reason for that is how BE works, you reach the max base BE when 2/3s of the jobs are filled.
