it was not a formula for total pop it was a formula for pop given by a house. And your formula is mathematically wrong.

population is simple:

(15*#barren + 25*#built +8*#homes*artisan bonus)*pop science*honor bonus*race bonus = total pop

ppa is simply:

total pop/acres

if you want to complicate things you can do the following:

25*.99 + 33*.01 = 25.08

25.08/25 = 1.0032

thus 1% homes = 0.32% pop bonus

(25 ppa + 0.5*8) * (1+pop sci)

100% homes? Non gnome? Non artisan?

(25 ppa + 1*8) * (1+pop sci)

Tell me what's wrong?

Well, maybe no brackets, and I assumed you know *pop_sci is actually *(1+pop_sci).
