Ambush

So I'm trying to get into the practice of ambushing a bit more, but realised I dont know something that might be quite important...

I know you ambush the most recent hits first, but what happens if you fail an ambush? Is that attack out the way and you try on the next most recent one?

Does it need to be a real fail or does 1 gen 1 soldier work too, if you wanted to reach a different hit?

1 soldier bounce is the common way of moving on to the next ambushable hit.

Aye but I couldnt find the old thread and was quicker to ask again.

Is there a SoM translator that gives you the exact number of troops out as opposed to the exact net defence?

I dont find the Alliancerankings one that useful in that respect so I'm currently oversending a bit on my ambushes.

just replace net defence to troops out. The formula is same so it is replaceable.
