The spot has been filled, but we're happy to take more applications. Realistically, there'll be a turnover of another 2-4 players this round.

People often get so excited to join an active kingdom they forget that the interview process works both ways. Its very important to get to know the monarch of the kingdom before you agree to join. This would probably solve your turnover problems or ruin your recruiting... not sure which.
*wonders why CW has such a big turnover every age*
can't imagine it would have anything to do with his self-centered arrogance...
JPassMan, it's very much a 2-way process. Most players do care to get proper information about the kingdom. My usual approach in interviews is trying to scare off players from joining, really. Average duration of interviews is 1.5-2h if I'm not in a hurry.
It's fairly common for top kingdoms to have high turnover, most just don't care to admit it and are too proud to advertise in public. Most players don't care for high requirements age after age, many want to try it out for 1-3 rounds and then either move back to a lower level kingdom or quit the game. I don't see it as top priority to minimize turnover, as long as it's not due to dissatisfaction with the kingdom. Turnover last few rounds hasn't been for that reason most of the time. When I played in ghettos, I always loved welcoming new players and did a very good job of it. Same thing here, it helps keep the kingdom young and dynamic. Also means more effort teaching nubs, but that's manageable.

Nah. I don't think it's a hidden fact that top kingdoms have high turnover. Hard to find 25 players who are always in a situation where they can access a computer at any time and are willing to wake up and attackand crap. People graduate from school, get married, get layed off, whatever. Being in a top kingdom becomes unimportant once it starts conflicting with the more important hings in life :)
wtf u talk about?! important things in life, from what planet are you from lol
