    question about guilds and tpa/mpa

    1. how does guilds affect your casting failure/success on self spells? does anyone have the rough numbers on this?

    2. how does relative tpa/mpa affect thief op/spell success?

    thanks

    what i actually really need is some rough benchmarks...

    example:

    roughly, what's the success rate of a 4wpa casting a fireball on a 3wpa province?

    i think that the formula goes like this:

    your networth = ynw
    target networth = tnw
    your modded wpa = ymwpa
    target modded wpa = tmwpa
    ygp = your guilds percentage*your BE
    tgp = target guild percentage*target BE

    min{[min(max(ynw/tnw,X),Y)]*(ymwpa/tmwpa)*(A+ygp-tgp)*Z, 100%}=success chance

    where A, X, Y, Z are constants

    X is the min mod that accounts for the relative networth (i think X is around 0.5)
    Y is the max mod that accounts for the relative networth (i think Y is around 1.5)
    Z is the chance multiplier. i think this is around 60%?? this chance modifier is different for each spell!!!
    A is the base effect of having no guilds. i think this is around 1.0

    hypothetical formula

    let:
    ynw=1000
    tnw=900
    ymwpa=4
    tmwpa=3
    X=0.5
    Y=1.5
    Z=60%
    ygp= 10%
    tgp= 10%

    therefore:

    =min{[min(max(1.11,0.5),1.5)]*1.33*(1.0+.1-.1)*60%, 100%}

    =min{88.57%,100%}

    =88.57%

    this is just theoretical!!!

    i don't know the variables A, X, Y, Z.

    but i really think that it is really near this formula. ^_^

    Well... Atleast you're good (or look good) with numbers heh...

    For the tpa questions:
    -Higher TPA means higher chance of succes.
    -Sending more thieves will give bigger gains.

    The relative difficulties for each spell can be found here but the actual formula for casting success rates is unknown. Its really just something you try out and get used to. Too many fails = move along. First 3 successes = stick at it.
