on 50% wage = 1+log(0.5)/4 = 92.47

so i guess not :)

Mehul uses square roots indeed, so no reason he would not be using log too.

Furthermore,

sqrt(x) = exp(0.5*log(x))

So Mehul uses log already ;)

At the time, I didn't realize the ME on screen was rounded though so I'm not sure of the real bottom except its at least 93.65

well, Mehul loves his 2 piece functions, as we can see with exploring and land gains formula, so its possible the log(x)/4 is for for PR >= 100% and then for <100, there is another function.

I think the log(x)/4 is a nice touch, and really close to the real thing if it's not.

I don't think he used 2 piece function here as difference is too small.. At least I don't consider 1.2% that big difference. Were there any changes in ME values in past? That could explain why 2 piece function was used if it is actually used..

1+log(.5)/4.75 gave me 93.6625% ME

when I multiply 4.75 with 2 I got 9.5
multiplying 4 with 2 is 8

9.5-8 = 1.5
and 2-.5=1.5

so more accurate formula could be this:
ME = 1 + 2 log (wage) / (10-wage)

But it still seems complicated :S

Nah a province can have a RAWME higher than 100% with out paying wages higher 100%. I found this out by mistake a while back when I built a province and went inactive for a week. I came back and my ME was 105%. No one hit me I wasn't even opped once. My wages were at 100%. I had a very small military with even spread of off specs, def specs, and elites.
