    Exclamation Race changes ****

    What happened to the days - every year Ut has been running - where we got to supply feedback on the race changes. Or have I missed it somewhere? We are invited to comment on whether raze should be land or bldgs. This is a minute part of our age & what makes us happy & what makes our feedback seem to matter .. or not. That's it. The rest is written in stone.

    The new UD changes are going to make a lot of people sad.

    Can you rebuild your troops with 50% science down to 30? Will the sci make any difference? I think not. Will UD remain at the bottom of every kd? Yup. Approx 1/3 of all people playing Ut played UD last age. Most of them were very unhappy to be promised the moon & offered an unplayable race.

    Undead
    * Some offensive specialists are converted to elites on successful Traditional Marches (not on intra hits, diminishing returns on oversending) - slightly boosted
    * Offence specs and Elites can not die on attacks you make (but can be killed on defence/ambush)
    * No food needed
    * Spreads & is Immune to the Plague
    * Access only to basic thievery ops
    * Science Effectiveness : -30% (was -50%)
    * Specific Spellbook – War Spoils, Animate Dead, Reflect Magic
    * Elite Unit - Ghoul (9/3, cannot be trained, 8.0 nw)

    The idea is to try & make the underdog race better not kick it when it's down.

    Lydias promised us our undead in good faith. Not some tortured parody.

    Keep your sci. You can have Reflect back as well. Just give us ToG.!!

    UD must attack 24/7 or lose his leets. Predominantly UD kds are hostile raped by much bigger kds once or twice daily. Other kds can turtle & build.
    UD cannot turtle. He attacks 8x as much as every other race. Money makes the world go round. If you don't have it, you're at the bottom of the charts.
    My kd was predominantly UD this age. I had 8 UD's quit cause the couldn't handle it. Not new guys. No, these guys were all good players on Humie or Elf. Some ppl don't enjoy being the scourge of the server through no fault of their own.

    Undead and Orc's are not turtle races, they are supose to run huge offence as there "defence", and in that way scare ppl of from hitting them.

    This age it dident really work that way, most undeads had way too little elites to be strong and the ones that did have a nice amont of elites did get chained first thing in war making them lose most of the hard given Ghouls.

    Undeads dont even need ToG if they will be abel to get some nice science going, which will still be hard whit -30% effectiveness. Maybe make it -20% and its still a big drawback.

    they are undeads, forget ur sci already even for balancing sake. perhaps someone could suggest an alternative to make undead realistic and yet playable !?

    It's kinda funny to see people complain because they decided to play a race that was forseeable doomed to float around the bottom.

    you love undead ok but it doesn't mean you can give them everything. They need drawback like every race. Maybe other races have less trouble with money (i didn't played undead so i can't really say) but they have to manage about offense instead. And it's up to you to choose the right personality.

    can't we just give up that "conversion on trad march" stuff already?

    Give them a good elite, make it expensive, give them minor penalties to science, thievery and income, a small boost to magic and no food needed. Done.

    If it weren't for the fact that people tend to abuse everything they can I would suggest making undead even more powerful, pass the change that allows people to get razed to death in war and go back to eons ago when Mehul made it where you could only become undead if you got pk'd or razed to death. (I would make that in war only but you would have to stop fake wars and that seems impossible)
    Imagine kingdom 1 razing to death several provinces in kingdom 2 because they wouldn't surrender (kingdom 1 just loves their war wins). Finally kingdom 2 surrenders and a few weeks later comes back for war with several badass undeads this time.
    Ah, if we could only prevent the fake wars and abuse I would love to see that happen.

    would i be right asking if elf get back QF and -50% wages but lose Tog? due to the changes

    because if i am right you could hand tog to undead but make science even harder

    but thats just me and people tend to disaggree with me a lot

    Exclamation DE once more ruined by ToG

    They gave ToG back to DE. What happens when DE have ToG. They won't mage. They're basically a mystic race but the minute they get ToG they won't spell. Every last drop of mana goes to ToG & they're hopeless as a/m. I won't allow them in the kd anymore cuz they don't pull their weight.

    DE's a crappy race cuz they have to turtle because their leets are on def. If they don't, they get the same kind of targeting UD get.

    So, give them the ability to do nasty spells in peace to anyone who attacks them - MS, FB, Foolsgold, Lightning Strike etc as a deterrent and restore ToG to UD. Perfection.

    You honestly expect people to play DE if it doesn't have ToG?

    You do realise DE sucks, and a good spell list isn't going to change that, because nobody will live through the unbearably bad race that DE is to get access to said spell list

    Give DE something actually beneficial to the race. Don't give them something that corrupts & makes them even more useless than they already are.

    Uh... um...

    For starters.. if you've never implemented Nightmares or Fool's Gold into your war strats, or had Invisibility casted on your A/T's, since you run hybrids, after having DE's why are you trying to tell other people what good the race is?

    Second, if you have selfish players that only think about themselves instead of the KD do you really think 1 spell is going to change that?

    And yes, I know this is a reversal of the ghetto players guide book, but:

    Silly Panda, I would have to agree,

    Nightmares seems like a very powerful spell, especially during war. For many ghettos may not be practical, but in organised kingdoms can/should be used to great effect.

    Fools gold should be great at keeping gold reserves down so the other kingdom should be unable to send dragon or reduce the ability to continually send dragons.

    I didnt know they could cast invisiability on others in the kingdom.

    I can see how DE would be very useful in organised kingdoms, and should also have the ability to honour whore as well. Even when playing an A/M. Dont judge a race that is not suited as a solo player kind of race, when it is more suited to being effective as part of a team.
