    'Fake Attack' stop Ambush?

Does sending a 'fake attack' after your main land grab stop the target from ambushing you back?

By 'fake attack' i mean sending 1 general with just 1 soldier. This army will obviously loose, and therefore no land is taken.

Does the ambush hit the last army that took land from you? Or am i mistaken in my thinking (happens all the time, so i wouldn't be surprised)

Well if it did.... you could hit for land, then send a 1 soldier attack :P

Why don't you try it out and find out? It'd be interesting to know.

wait then, just got another question!

In a multi-tap, do you ambush more than one of the armies? Or just the last one that hit you. If multiple, does it start with the last one to hit you, or the first?

if i attack you for 200, 150 then 100 acres
you will ambush the 100, then 150, then 200 for 50, 75 and 100 respectively

Except in war, which depends upon which way you're looking at it.

A long, long time ago you could do something similar to this because there was a personality that gave you 5 generals in toto instead of 4 (It was warrior or war hero, can't remember which). However, those times went away long ago.
When the nay-sayers pipe up with talk of exploitation through strategy and planning I'm reminded of a Jack Nickolson quote, "I think of a man, then I remove logic and reason from him"

It was the war hero that had an extra general and +50% honor bonuses. General had elites die at 50% rate, unlimited enhanced conquest, and +50 WPA/TPA on intel operations and spells.

For a long time your could fail ambushes as many times as you wanted and succeed once. So, for instance, if an orc hits you with 10,000 ogres you would use 2500 o-specs and 2500 horses 3 times and 2700 o-specs and horses once. If you had a good attack time and caught the attack you could fail 4 times come back later and fail three more before succeeding the ambush. With pitfalls and bribe generals that smarted a bit.

There was a few ages actually where General had the +1 general. I cannot recall if that was before/after the war hero had it. But it was attached to that personality at one time or another, iirc.

I thought that loophole was that you could in fact ambush an army numerous times (failing the first 3 barely, succeeding on the last), killing off their offense very quickly. It happened to go along with the extra general because afterward you could make your normal attack. Kingdoms running defensive elites had a ball...
