    4 decimals som+som

i am testing some now stuff about som+som so we can have a new tool just like som+som always worked same idea only different approach

for now i am testing 4 decimals because the latest test i did on the beta showed som uses 4 or above 4 decimals

how i tested it well it simple really i had a round def value like 12000 and asked someone to som me and he got "Net Defensive Points at Home 12,631"
meaning som uses 4 or above 4 decimals :)

now i did 4 decimals som+som calculator and ... well ... thats didnt work well on small numbers its only good for 6 digits number and you need to get 4 soms
to get a real good result ...... i will try to build something with cb+som+som
    maybe that will help ^^

    here is a pic:

    Go.
    Away.
    N00b.

You have your own site for spamming this stuff. Either go there, or take this waste to the general talk ghetto, where it belongs.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

like i already told you vt2 its wont help you!!!
i am here to stay whether you like it or not!!! :)

and you are the real nub if that calculator will work then it will be great because if the new code use 4-8 decimals on soms then a new som+som calculator will really help everyone so STFU!!!

and as for the rest of you i am here to ask for any ideas/help about this different approach you guys might have

I've tried more decimals and didn't get it to work. Also takes a lot longer to process for every decimal you add

A lot longer as in? Seconds? Dozens of seconds? A minute? If you're even approaching half a minute your formula is either wrong or you are incapable of writing competent code.

i hate it when ppl think they know better....

so i did a Decimal Calculator which is the first time i see in the utopia world with up to 8 Decimal !!!

and why i did it? well 3 reasons...
    1. to do more tests
    2. so ppl can see for their own what i am doing and talk about
    3. so ppl can help me and do tests of their own

    here is the link: REMOVED

    have fun lol

i hate it when people think they can read...

so i am going to point out why you are illiterate. this is the first time i've bothered with you, and i sure won't do it 8 times!!!

why are you illiterate, you wonder? there are many reasons, but today I shall list two...

    1. You didn't mention in any of your posts the amount of time it took your code to relay a result. You made no mention of time. My post is as follows:
"A lot longer as in? Seconds? Dozens of seconds? A minute? If you're even approaching half a minute your formula is either wrong or you are incapable of writing competent code."

The sections I have made bold are all references to or measurements of time. Obviously this can not be directed towards you.

    2. Your last post made no sense whatsoever. You should learn to use punctuation other then "..." and "!!!". Trivial as a period or comma might seem, they do wonders.

Learn to read, comprehend and write ENGLISH.

You were the idiot that decided to take a stab at my post - I didn't speak to you, about you, or belittle your attempt at a som calculator. I responded in kind.

God help Utopians if you're the best bet they have at getting a som calculator - if you are as bad at programming and math as you are at reading and writing we are never going to get anything that works.

    hehe
stupid people, pillz was talking to Luc =)

for each decimal place you add, you are looking at (worst case) just over doubling the time, with a brute force algorithm

using some smart coding it is possible to reduce this quite significantly, depending on how far away the 2 numbers are

for example, i got this from a recent post in #strategy

    [10:59] <BonaFIDA> !Som 27646 23876
    [10:59] <Clampy> 25133 (110% 95%) +- 8%
    [10:59] <Clampy> 31416 (88% 76%) +- 18%
now, based on the fact it's never over +/- 40% you can assume the maximum is 23876/0.6 = 39793.333333 and the minimum is 27646/1.4 = 19747.142857

so, you know there is no point taking the 27646 past 0.68 as this gives 40655.882353

same thing goes for taking 23876 below 0.82

    =)
