I would not imagine Gamestop would offer support for the game.

The current boards (which you all love deep down I know) are the best bet. If you mail that address you may get no reply.

    LOL....

Maybe thats why they didnt tell us of the buy out.
They know we will let the new bosses know whats up and how we feel.

    hmmmmm

I think we should, as long as we do it constructively. No ranting and/or flaming.

yep, no need to insult or flame the new owner, but I'm sure they'll check this out if enough of us ask for they help or show concern about our beloved game.

If I were involved in a company and received a multitude of questions about an issue or game that was newly relevant I'd make the effort to have some form of response drafted up.

I was just preparing you for the possibility that they may not do so yet. Larger companies tend to formulate responses to certain issues slowly (this is my personal experience only).

Exclamation Would be nice if Jolt would fill us in ...

I remember when OMAC bought Utopia. It was all very nice with lots of time & Swirve staying on for 3 months to ease the transition.

Is Jolt still here or did they walk, yesterday.

Are the new peeps aware that we exist?

We (the support team) are not aware of any sales information. I can't help other than say:

You've got S&B (new devs from way before this blog news) posting here when they can and Lydias, Fagashlil and myself posting (from Jolt) posting as usual.

The news that is linked (that I can't comment on - not least of which because I'm quite clueless about it) is an overall deal rather than a game specific deal.

    Dear GameStop.com customer,

Thanks for contacting us. Please allow 24 hours for a response.

As an added convenience, we now offer customer self-service features on
    our website such as:

    * Self-service order cancellation.

    * Self-service credit card expiration updates.

    * Self-service shipping service level changes.

You can also access your account and check your order status from any
page of www.gamestop.com. Just click the "My Account" or "Order Status"
links at the top of the page.

We appreciate your patience and are working hard to respond to your
    email as quickly as possible.

The Customer Service Team at GameStop.com

    ****************************************************************

I think we need a new name & address.

Like VP in charge of games & acquisitions or the president of Games.Stop.

The one we have seems to be for placing orders for merchandise (or whatever)
    Shaken not stirred.

It is the responsibility of Investor Relations to speak about the plans of the company moving forward, acquisitions, and growth potential. I would suggest speaking with IR about this -- they probably don't have many details yet, but they would know who to talk to internally and tend to be good about getting back to you. If no one else does, I'll contact them later today.
Our principal executive offices are located at 625 Westport Parkway, Grapevine, TX 76051. Our telephone number is (817) 424-2000.

**Important notice regarding the availability of proxy materials for the Stockholders Meeting to be held on June 23, 2009: the Proxy Statement and the accompanying Annual Report are available by clicking the “Financial Reports” link.

    Primary IR Contact
    Matt Hodges
    Director of Investor Relations
    GameStop Corp.
    Phone: 817-424-2000
    E-mail: investorrelations@gamestop.com
    Note:
Do not destroy this guys e-mail inbox or call him a lot. I will e-mail him now. I'm posting this so that other people that are interested in the future of utopia can contact him. He likely won't be able to comment on specifics, and certainly won't be able to yet. If we overload him with e-mails, calls, etc -- he'll never get back to us. If someone calls him, please post so I won't.

Thundergore, can you confirm or deny that Jolt has been bought by Gamestop?

If you are located in Ireland, you would be covered under the Irish TUPE regulations; unless the acquisition is purely of shares?
