I know a lot of people will flame me for this - but lets consider some facts people... they have spent a lot of money developing Utopia Kingdoms.. and they can make a bucket load of money from it... at the moment they have a situation where they 12K players on this game where they are getting advertising revenue...

Why not move these over to a "similar" game where not only do they make advertising revenue - but because the game has the built in ability for people to PAY for extra credits etc they then get extra revenue...

Now, they know that people will not move over voluntarily.. so you force them.. yes your know you are going to lose some people along the way...but... every extra player at Utopia Kingdoms has the potential to generate extra income...

Notice that in the recent announcements for the sale of Jolt that there were no mention of this game or Earth... now Earth has been told they are going, and seriously, look at how this game has been treated over the last few months... only the most optimistic person still believes the "promises" from Jolt...

Expect an announcement this week that the game will be up - but will have "teething problems" and in about 1 - 2 months it will be down again... in the meantime we will see a series of advertisements around Utopia Kingdoms... and other inducements to move across to that platform...

There's very little appeal, and if you didn't know, it's just a reskin of Khan wars, which is in turn a clone of Tribal wars.

why would roughly 12k people, who play a team game that is based on strategy and teamwork, go and play a graphical game that caters to solitary play ?
I played UK, its.... horrible (and thats being nice)
It has very limited replay value, almost not real teamwork and cohesion aspect... and no reason for a bunch of people who enjoy the social aspect of a game to even consider playing it.

Utopia is a social game.. yes its got strategy... but it is a SOCIAL game... there are player to player interactions all over it.. people within their kingdoms interact with each other, and with players in other kingdoms.... that is the appeal, that is what we play for...

@Nobody... I agree with you... and do not get me wrong.. I am not in favour of ever playing UK.... but... simply step back and look at the situation from a Jolt perspective and you have to admit that the horrible possibility is out there...

Also, if you look at UK forums - they are pushing greater team work, cooperation and communication between "clans" and more strategical elements... I am not saying they are succeeding in any way shape or form... but... remember Jolt is a commercial company and they will want their pound of flesh .....

I already play something similar. The larger you are the more time you need to spend doing stuff that even a robot can do, when you get to few hours/day you get tired of it.
