Because it was too difficult to make the game randomize when troops were finished training.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

they limit the number of books/troops that can be finished each hour.

as stated before if you train 1000 troops 1 at a time they would all be completed the same hour.

and the same goes for science. its just a small advantage but in order to use it you had to script it. so for server load purposes i fully understand that they dont whant to split 1 request to train 5000 books in to 5000 requests to train 1 book.

its no dos attacks its just "exploits" to gain a minimal advantage

so if i have 100 mil advisors and decide to train 5k troops, will it take 50 hours to train or?

exploits are restricted by the spirit of the game. just identify any one doing it and penalize them instead of adding sucky preventive measures. Very simple.

hehe you can't penalize someone for not having done anything illegal hehe.. .... it's just loopholes... like you can't punish lawyers..

anyway.. that's cool, i never thought you could do something like that before.

well. sure thats one way to solve it but i still think its a good thing to remove possibility to exploit and allows the flow of the game to be alot smoother.

Good catch B&S and a good solution. Hopefully this will end the ghost chase for Dos attackers.

Good idea in my mind.. It will lessen the load on the server, and at this point we need all the help we can get ;)

    Uh-huh.
Or they could have been smart, and fixed the problem, rather than applying band-aids all over.

True. Fixing the exploits would be far better then penalizing someone for exploiting it
