    Bugs fixed Dec 2nd 2009

    Hi everyone,

We deployed fixes to a number of bugs today, which were being tracked on
Luth's list. Here are the details:

    • Abandoned provinces were being auto-killed due to inactivity.
There was a bug that meant that when the daily inactivity check was performed, all abandoned provinces would be detected as inactive and killed. This is now fixed.
    • Plague was not getting cured
There was an issue that meant that the plague was not getting cured after 24 hours. This is now fixed.
    • Meteor Showers is available to non-mystics
A coding error meant that meteor showers were intermittently available to anyone. This has now been fixed, so they are only available to mystics as intended.
    • Clear sight spell was behaving like a single-use spell
This is now rectified so that the spell will remain in place for the correct number of hours, and during that time will introduce a 25% chance that any thief ops against you will fail.
    • Reflect magic is reflecting the spells, but resources still lost/effects still gained
In fact, this bug was just to do with the messages and news reports that were returned. Spells were reflected properly, and a message to that effect displayed, however the messages that would have been displayed had it not been reflected were then display as well. This is now fixed so that if a spell is reflected back on you, you will get the message that the intended victim would have got.
    • Land lust seems to be taking a flat percentage, rather than a random amount.
Land lust was taking a flat 1.35% of the target's land, instead of a random amount up to that maximum. This has now been fixed.
    • Provs in protection are able to be spelled
There was a bug that meant that it was still possible to cast spells on provinces in protection. This is now fixed.
    • Provinces in vacation mode were not protected.
A serious bug meant that provinces in protection mode could still be attacked, spelled and thieved. This is now fixed.

    Thanks,
    Sean and Brian
