    Full TGs is always better, even for gnomes. 25% is cutting it though due to diminishing returns.

    A mix of stables and TGs will provide you with a very little bit of more offense, but it doesn't outweigh the instant bonus TGs give you + the lower networth.

    Horses are actually nw efficient tho, they add more offense than nw.

    Unless you have some aversion to using horses. . .

    Highest benefit will come from 11.6% stables and 13.4% TG's.

    7000 elites = 42k off
    11.6% of 1000 ac = 116 ac
    116 * 60 = 6960 horses
    raw off = 42k + 6960 = 48,960 off
    mod off = 48,960*(1 + 1.5*1*0.134*0.866) = 57,482 off

    FYI
    25% TG gives
    42,000*(1 + 1.5*1*0.25*0.75) = 53,812 off

    TG's instant bonus is always nice...

    after about 20% TG's, i would consider horses
    Deliverance -> secrets -> anzac -> mercy -> rage -> "ghetto"

    We've already had this discussion in the orc war hero thread (and I bet lots of times before). A mix of stables and tg's give the highest offense, but that's only true in a static environment. You need to consider a lot of other factors, and in most cases it's more worth using TG's.

    if the choice is between mixing or going pure, its best to go with purity if the land in question is like 25~%

    Considering the fact that TGs also work on horses, a mix is almost always better. Orcs with their big leets and Dorfs with the better TGs would be the exception.

    I've looked at these numbers a few ages back and came to the conclution that stables are better at low acre, since you are working with lower amount of offence % gives less gain then the static gain per horse, but when passing ~1500 acres it goes over to being better to have TG's since your base offence is getting high enough to generate more extra offence from the % then the horses give.

    @DimDim

    If you don't have issues using horses, the optimal mix of TG's and stables is only a function of raw OPA, BE, pers, and % land available.

    Check this thread for more info.

    Those calculations are only true if you have the stables filled, and if you're attacking and getting attacked, that will usually not be the case. Unfilled stables are wasteful.
