    How are Generals Calculated?

    Is it:

    A) Modified offense = Modified offense * 1.03^(Extra Generals).

    B) Modified offense = Modified offense + 0.03 * (Extra Generals).

    or

    C) Modified offense = Modified offense * (1 + .03*(Extra Generals))

Angel calculates it as C) I believe, but as we all know, Angel sucks. I thought for awhile it was actually B), but heard otherwise somewhere, so I'd like to be sure.

You realize that in no way answers the question?

By what formula is it added?

It depends on who you ask, and people in two out of those three camps have a habit of failing attacks 'because of the random-factor!'
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

    And you know this how?

People didn't know how the random factor worked, so they also didn't know what you needed to send to succeed. So how is anyone supposed to know how generals are calculated?

One of the devs answered an email about it and it was C according to them (and I believe it).
That nerdy guy that obsesses with game mechanics.

    1) "B" makes no sense
    2) even if they used the bass-ackwords "A" method, the difference would only be .09% for the third general, and 0.27% for the fourth. So by using method "C" you definitely won't be undersending, whereas if you assume "A" you might.

How does B not make sense? It's just a straight addition of 3% ME for each general...

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. B should have been phrased like this:

    OME = OME + 0.03 * Extra Generals

    C) Modified offense = Modified offense * (1 + .03*(Extra Generals))

    1. Yes it does. TG works the same way, so why is it impossible for generals to do as well?
    2. And that it's a safe way of calculating makes it correct how?

Don't speak as if you know things if you're really just guessing.

as far as i know they said that the first gen provided no off boost, nothing about how the other gens affect it.

Bowman, I clarified what I meant. I didn't think you could be stupid enough to interpret it that way when it was obvious what I meant, but I guess I've, once again, overestimated the human race.
