Restore the old system where msgs were cleared automatically after three days & put mass delete options in. Clear all or none or some.
Love the new monarch mass msg. Saves a lot of work. A great tool for instant communication!

I seriously doubt your mail is kept loaded in memory by the server. It appears to be a simple database app. Looking up and retrieving messages takes some time but so does everything in the game. Every page is generated on the fly from the available data being dropped into a template. The faster and more efficient the data retrieval, page generation and delivery, the faster the game response. The big source of lag currently appears to be the slow response of some of the offsite ad servers...

There's a very real possibility that something that stupid is actually taking place right now.
