    Issues with Kingdom Activity

So I've been with this monarch for coming on 3 years now. We are mostly a smaller end kd, over the 3 years we've been anywhere from 3m to 1.5m.

The issue we have had for what seems like the last 4 seasons, is we have huge influxes of new members that we teach, but end up going MIA and never returning. We kill off inactives, have activity checks, and try to engage people.

We are kind of at a loss for what to do. Can anyone that has had these issues give us some help as to what to do?

It's crucial that you streamline your efforts to integrate new players. If you have some simple guides written down rather than having to type everything out each time, you'll save a lot of time and energy.

Other than that, everybody is suffering. Kingdoms are disbanding at all levels of the game. Try hard to mitigate turnover by keeping the kingdom interesting enough for your core players to stay. Look into getting new players through inviting friends of your players to play.

you need motivation. that is what you need.

you mentioned that you struggled between 1.5-3 mils nw each age.

try to aim for a 2-3k acres provinces like a 7 mils nw or so at the end of the age. try to aim for a top 50 land/nw kingdom.

or try to aim for a barons kingdom.

this will motivate the new commers. is the only solution i believe.

when they join, you can teach them heaven and earth, if you do not feel the little taste of success and involvement they wont put any more feelings into this game.

motivate them with high goals, involve them intro kingdom strategies (make use of inteligence of every player and even if they are stupid ask them what they feel about this strat or that or this). make them feel important part of the kingdom and of course important part of the utopian community.

when a player feels important part of the utopian community he will never lose interest, on contrary he will involve more to get better himself. sooner or later he will figure out that without team he cant get anything alone, therefore he will involve more to improve the team.

i hope you got the picture:)

just bring them success to keep them interested. reach reasonable goals like vlahul said. but just play in a range where you comfortable , and able to win wars. if you continually get pounded war after war , that is no fun and people will likely quit/leave . so ye just a really fun , positive and somewhat successful atmosphere will keep people together , and help to add new members.

and also as catwalk said , with the writting of guides to help new players to learn and also to adapt to your kds style of playing. to help them out an give em some literature to look over when in doubt , and also to save yourself time from repeating lol.

    is good advice ^^

Well thanks all, we've made a little site at the beginning of the age to try and supplement the guide, since it is kind of crappy. Last age we were 4/4 wins, this age 0/1 with about 5 real actives :/

"try to aim for a 2-3k acres provinces like a 7 mils nw or so at the end of the age. try to aim for a top 50 land/nw kingdom."

Making a small kingdom into a superghetto is never a good idea.
Catwalk's crusade for legalized cheating was a stunning success, with ghettos and low-tiered teams everywhere losing their wells of knowledge to better kingdoms in the process.

Step one: replace everything that works.
Step two: blame the predictable epic fail on outside forces.
Step three: keep the community informed that no progress has been made since the last update.
Step four: thank you for your patience.

I'm seriously thinking about defecting. One of our actives, "destroyed all his land" so now we are hurting even worse. Any info on your kd?

another thing to think about.... with the population of players shrinking, math tells us that we can't maintain the same number of KDs. rather than struggle to hold a dying KD together, maybe merge with a KD that has a similar style?
