Question in regards to accepting an invite

I just received an invite to a KD.

I wanted to know:

1. Am I able to repick my race/personality?
2. If I were to delete my province, remake it with a new race/personality; would I still be able to accept the invite?

if you are being invited into an existing province, no you won't be able to change

if you are being invited into an empty slot, you will be able to pick all your own stuff

Am I able to check whether it's an existing province or an empty slot?

you'd have to ask whoever sent the invite, not sure there is another way to know
