Major steps have been taken to deal with the cheating problem for the next age.
We want to make everyone aware that some of the behaviors that you may have been able to get away with previously, will now result in a quick ban.
Here are some of the changes to come in age 47:
1. All surfing anonymizing techniques are now strictly banned. This includes open web proxies and anonymizing networks such as Tor.
2. All email addresses registered with the game must be valid, permanent email addresses. If you registered using a once-off email service, such as mailinator, you will not be allowed to continue playing until you change and re-verify your address.
3. If you share your internet connection or computer with other players, you will appear on our radars. Under no circumstances should you interact with these other players, e.g., attacking them in-game, or trading in-game. To do so may cause you to be banned as a multi.
4. The new cheat detection system permits us to automatically identify likely farms, xloggers and multies. We will have a zero-tolerance against those we catch, and abuse of any kind is likely to get you, your accounts and your IP address permanently banned.
We'll also continue to manually investigate and handle reports of players exploiting existing, or newly emerging bugs, prior to their fix.
The methods by which we'll pursue, log and remove cheaters will continue to evolve and we'll keep you updated when we can.
