Killing the province would stop future problems if not for yourself then future monarch (after they get bored or if they ask current monarch to leave)
province needs to be killed in 1 day max, using fortified and waiting out the storm could be good as well or just stay small enough so they dont get enough gains and act as if you need 1 attack to keep land acre age u have(did that one age).
