Yesterday afternoon our forums hardware took a dive. We immediately had the technical bods in the office take a look at it. We were notified that the investigation into what had gone wrong would take some time.
Today we prodded for more information and were notified that the forums would be returning but they would need to resort to an earlier back up than what is ideal - due to technical problems. As a result we were looking at a pretty uncomfortable loss of ~10 days worth of posts. I'm not sure when the back up has taken us to now.
I am very sorry if someone has lost a post and cannot recall or recreate it. Some of our most recent members may need to re-register to continue conversing (or mail the support queue again seeing registration doesn't work either).
Once more we've urged Brian and Sean in the strongest terms, to consider prioritising a new forum for our community.
They've taken this on board.
