    Stables / Horses - Decay?

    Had a question regarding horses.

I still have 2,400 horses kicking around in my kingdom with 5 stables left. Is this intentional? Would a viable strategy be to go in a war with 10-15% stables then raze em all for another building and keep using the horses? I'm Undead if that matters, do non undead lose horses on attacks or something?

Are the horses at home for extended periods of time?
Retired at one time but no longer retired.

When your horses are at home during a tick, some of them will be lost if you don't have enough stables to hold them. If your horses are out on an attack, they won't decay. It's possible to steal horses and us them on attacks even if you don't have any stables at all. You can then steal before your next attack to replace the losses and always have 1 horse for each troop.

Very interesting. Yeah I was attacking when troops were getting home. Does anyone know the rate of decay per tick?

Any Undead attackers (no horse lost on attack) have stables coming into a war similar to having homes for a larger opening military?

Horses die for every "rider". Undead don't lose "riders" so their horses don't die.
Razing Stables or phasing them out is usually a decent strat, stables (as a building) mostly benefit low offense elites, but the horses are great (1.67 Off / NW).

I think the decay is something like 25%... but not certain.

No it isn't... because no one in their right mind would leave horses at home :p
