There is an ignore feature, but for the most part it's just making a bunch of different names and posting 1 post them with so that's kind of a failing effort. If you see a spam post please just report it.

PS, this almost got deleted and got you marked as a spammer because I just saw porn in the name and didn't think twice lol

As some of you may know, Bishop is going to be away for a few days, which means I'll be the only mod around to deal with the lovely spam. Hasn't been so bad lately (knock on wood), but it will likely pile up a bit when it is my sleepy time. My apologies in advance.

EDIT - I'm not familiar with the new forums buttons, where is the Report Post" feature?

Ummm, odd. There is usually an icon with a ! at the bottom left corner of the message. I can't see mine but I can mouse over it and see it's still there to click, just no icon. Anyone else not able to see it?

I've gotten reports of it not being there. It makes more sense that it's not visible rather than it's not there...*sigh*

I reported some spam when it first started, it was there a few days ago on these boards, I'm sure of it. Anyway if you need to report something just mouse around the bottom left, right above "Reply to Thread", until your pointer changes to the link clicking hand lol.

No, it's in the bottom left corner of the message box you want to report. Mouse around right above where it says what time I posted this, yours is right above it, just you can't see it. To report mine it's right above the 'Reply to Thread' button below and left of this text.

the spam also seems to include taxfraud and all sorts of scams

it's just a hunch but kinda looks like this bot is connected to the armenian botnet. You know they guy who got arrested in 2010 I belief thanks to the work of the Dutch police. I may have mentioned this dirtbag in the politics forum.

I know Palem said bishop is away so there would be an increase of spam but it has seemed to go up a lot lately. Does bishop have some Jedi mind powers to stop it all of he is just so quick at deleting it.

Alex - Most of the spam has been one-post spam. Some of the one's lately have been multiple post spam and across other forums. That's why it seems worse.

And I'm not sure if the forum's recent screwyness is due to the spam or not =\

I shot an email over to the devs about the icon issues.
