You wish! no no

This is my province. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My province is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My province, without me, is useless. Without my province, I am useless.
I must attack hard with my province. I must attack harder than my enemy who is trying to pk me. I must pk him before he pk's me. I will...
similar vein:
i attack a cleric and the results say 'i kill about 500 troops and imprison 500 troops'
he had 0 soldiers at the time i attacked.
how many does he have now? 250 or 500?
He will have 1k, unless I'm mistaken (and I don't think that I am.) I've never noticed it before while I've been Cleric.

imprisoning has nothing to do with extra losses
The Utopian world is not a closed system. The game can generate resources out of thin air.
Prisoners: you gain prisoners equal to half the troop losses you inflicted on your attack as long as you have room in your dungeons.
Soldiers from Cleric: You gain 1 soldiers for each troop that died. (Only troops that require upkeep count)

gotcha - so 500 troops are generated from this battle.
500 prisoners + 500 deaths = 1000 total -> now soldiers.
1000 soldiers + 500 prisoners = 1500 troops.
Yep.
