Indeed yet marijuana has no harmful effects unless used heavily and for a long time or as a gateway drug to harder substances. I think it should be grown all over the place yet people are educated properly about it and the best ways to use it. For it does have many uses.

The most important part of legalising a drug is safety. The government will have to provide regulations and standards to comply to. Producers will have to be licensed and quality standards of the products are enforced. Just like alcohol, you know exactly what is in it with nothing added. You never know what they have laced it with when you buy from a crackhead pot dealer down the road.

However there are long term effects of pot smoking that cigarettes and or alcohol do not do. I think this is a big negative as pot users will greatly increase if they legalise it.

Definetely a hot topic of debate. You should really look at statistics from Amsterdam and compare.

Like cancer and liver disease? Of the three marijuana is the least detrimental to your health and long term health.

The primary reasons it has never been legalized completely in the US are because determining how much THC is in the bloodstream is not cost efficient for field sobriety testing, how to tax it, and how to regulate it.

Gary Johnson tried to make it legal here in New Mexico several years back and those were the major road blocks. It is however will be the main reason I want him to run for presidency WOOT

If marijuana were legalised it could grow in people's garden's, in parks, on median strips along highways, all over the place. I mean just natural bush buds, not hydroponically grown marijuana sold and bought that may well be laced with speed to try to get 'repeat customers'.

I simply that it is a natural plant and should be allowed to grow, we as fellow natural creatures have the right to pick/snip off the buds and well ... you get the point.

It is simply a personal choice and although the lifestyle is addictive, the substance marijuana is not.

That would be utterly stupid, it shouldnt be avaible that freeely if its legalized. If so it should be heavily regulated its like saying hey, we should let anyone be able to drink alcohol, should be freely distrubted everywhere cause it should be a free choice, screw it if some kids drink it or not, as long as its our personal choice! ..

Marijuana is a plant, that is my point. It is entirely natural.

It is not at all utterly stupid for a natural plant to grow naturally and be widely available.

If people just let it be what it is, just a plant, and leave it at that, then the world would be better for it. If people want to take the buds off plants and smoke them, that is their business.

Alcohol doesn't grow naturally out of the ground. I wish it did. But it doesn't.

Yet it is, consider the effects from the said plant. You cant build your whole argument on "its a plant its natural" ergo it should be allowed there is much more to it than that.

If people just let it be what it is, just a plant, and leave it at that, then the world would be better for it. If people want to take the buds off plants and smoke them, that is their business.
You do realize you just cant pick the bud and smoke it? There is a process to it, with your thinking we should allow cocaine as well then since its just from a plant.

Alcohol doesn't grow naturally out of the ground. I wish it did. But it doesn't.
No, but you get the products needed naturally from the ground, its just that there is a process with it as it is with cannabis.

Your argument isnt worth anything, work on it and then come back.

lol why do people just qoute and snipe.

I don't have a 'whole argument' to 'build'.

Marijuana is a plant. It is as natural as you or i. People have smoked it for centuries and millenia and shall continue to, regardless of laws.

Mate, seriously. I don't have an arguement. It is a pure beleif.

Maybe you readjust your knickers so your not so grouchy?

I just said you cant build your argument from its a plant and yet what do you do, repeat yourself again. :(

Sorry, I thought this was a forum where you discuss things, but apparently this is a place where you just rinse and repeat one thing and are stuck with that.

Marijuana is a plant. It is as natural as we are. Despite the laws of humankind, it is still a part of nature.

Korp, stop quoting me and having a go mate. We shall have to agree to disagree.

Have you ever tried it Korp?
