    Tax took too much

June Y of YRZ We have received a shipment of 23 gold coins from X. Trade deficit taxes cost us 4% of the shipment.

KD mate sent me 25 gold.

    25*.96=24

    Where'd my gold coin go?

probably a rounding bug. tax may have been 4.3% and the loss of 1.075 gold could then have been rounded up
This is my province. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My province is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My province, without me, is useless. Without my province, I am useless.
I must attack hard with my province. I must attack harder than my enemy who is trying to pk me. I must pk him before he pk's me. I will...

Well then how am I supposed to know what my tax is if what it tells me is inaccurate?

Use the formula below to figure out your true tax rate. It's probably just a rounding issue.
    Base Tax Rate = -4 * (Trade Balance / Networth + 4)

Tax Rate = DEPEND ( Base Tax Rate ) :
    Base Tax Rate < 0 = 0
    0 < Base Tax Rate < 98 = Base Tax Rate
    Base Tax Rate > 98 = 98
Retired at one time but no longer retired.
