Zero Peasants -- What will happen?

What happens if a province's peasants reach zero?

I'm in a deep chain at the moment with about 500 peasants with -60/hour (I'm a few thousand over populated). I was wondering whether the province can exist with no peasants (I'm not saying it'll run well, simply wondering if the province will be permitted to keep existing the game).

Your province will be destroyed and you will get the option to restart. So you better start releasing troops

without peasants your province rejoices in the Armageddon. they have all been lifted from the curse of mortality and enjoy an eternity of jubilation. all forces become immortal being with the power of the Seraphim angels able to rain down MS on their enemies with their blazing swords. all jobs are eliminated and instead a happiness aura fills your province and instantly takes hold.

As you can see it only takes a basic reasoning flaw to realize you have a 50% chance of becoming invincible.
