Reporters Note: This is going to be a longer article because there is a lot of other communications that took place in the lead up to the war that I wanted to add to the article.
Before war broke out between BIO and Simians, BIO were in the process of waving Myrmidons with an intention to war them.
Summary of BIO hostile with Myrmidons
Total Attacks Made: 28 (3798 acres)

Prior to waving Myrmidons, one of the Faeries in BIO noticed that a province in Simians had 9M gold lying around so the Faery proceeded to rob 3M of that gc to fund a dragon to Myrmidons (though BIO quickly realized that Myrmidons were slightly out of range).
Shortly thereafter, Myrmidons started to bombard with ops, blanketing BIO's provinces with MS. Myrmidons did not retal and tried to contact the leadership of BIO to negotiate talks. However, due to miscommunication they messaged a nick on IRC that was idle for almost 18h. In response, they sent an ingame message saying that BIO were purposely ignoring them and would retaliate with ops on them.
Meanwhile, some 10 hours later, the leadership of Simians contacted BIO asking why they stole their gc. An interesting conversation proceeded which instigated Simians to start an Emerald dragon targeting BIO on July 24th, YR5 followed by a full wave on January 1st, YR6.

According to Simians, BIO had been taking gc from anyone that had not logged 1st hour of fortified after their war with Fluffylicious. Simians were not really ready due to the three wars they had had in quick succession. However, as you can see from the logs above, Anri had told Baka that stealing gc is not accepted and Simians would "rape" BIO for acres. After the wave from Simians, BIO pushed the button:
February 2 of YR5 We have declared WAR on SIMIANS HOSTILE BIO!
BIO were feeling confident that before the war had started they had it won because they had the clear t/m advantage. They opted to chain two of Simians faeries first to remove their t/m abilities. Then BIO decided to split Simians down the middle causing a huge NW rift in which they had guys at 4k+ acres at the top, 2 faeries at 2k+ acres in the middle and the rest of the Orcs sitting around 1-2k acres on the bottom. Whenever BIO felt like they needed acres during the war, they would do a full NS run which killed around 25k troops and heavy chained their target province to ~600 acres.
During the whole war BIO kept MS/Greed/Chastity on the top provinces of Simians so they couldn't run away with high peasants. BIO sent 2 Ruby dragons, mostly funded by the bank but they let one Orc Merchant in Simians grow so they could steal gcs from him. Simians were able to break the BIOs bank twice but the bank still achieved a positive acre count.
Simians confessed to having underestimated both BiOs activity and power to op their provinces. Without WTs and any decent tpa Simians were overrun and they accepted that they had made a mistake by making weak waves in order to achieve max gains. At one stage of the war Simians were 7k+ acres up and as war proceeded the NS from BIO had put the attackers of Simians on their knees and it was just a matter of time before BIO would recover the lost acres and start to outgain Simians.
Simians had sent a ruby dragon in the hope that the bank province and the rest of BIO would slay it so that it may open the bank enough for Simians to break it. This worked as once the bank had armies home the dragon was killed. Simians took fresh intel and got their Faeries online to do an NM run on the bank with the orcs working on NS. With the aid of soldiers the largest orc of Simians was able to break the defences of the bank.
An unknown province from SIMIANS WAR BIO captured 363 acres of land from Wai Yu Shao Ting.
This led Simians to believe that they may be able to turn the tide of the war since breaking down the bank would give them a lot of acres and ruin BIO's economy.
At the same time as their second orc broke the bank Simians received a ruby dragon from BIO.
April 2 of YR5 An unknown province from SIMIANS WAR BIO captured 348 acres of land from Wai Yu Shao Ting.
April 2 of YR5 A Ruby Dragon from Bring It On has begun ravaging our lands!
With a ruby dragon on them, it put the final nail in the coffin for Simians so they decided on a good hour to WD.
April 11 of YR5 SIMIANS WAR BIO has withdrawn from war. Our people rejoice at our victory!
In the EoW cf period a real CF was made between the kingdoms as neither KD wanted to war each other over again.
