Hostilities began when Hall of Force(HoF) started up a Ruby dragon and sent a half-wave of Anonymous traditional marches(TM's) into Melee Weapons(MW). MW stated that at the time of HoF's wave, they were low on gold due to exploration and prior conflicts. MW reacted by stealing as much gold as they could, followed by a bounce wave on HoF's Faery-Monarch. This allowed for a single plunder of 3 million gc's, which helped MW to start their own Ruby Dragon. HoF continued to send anonymous TM's into MW, who were in Fortified stance.

After 18 hours of conflict MW declared war and launched their dragon. Both sides began with heavy chaining, which continued throughout most of the war. At Minimum time, HoF clearly had the upper hand on land gained, but neither kd was willing to withdraw. MW felt as though their setup of undead/tacts and halfling/rogues would outlast the orc/clerics from HoF over a longer time span. In addition, MW thought they were gaining momentum with their nightstrikes, fireballs, and the delivery of their second dragon, an emerald beast!

The war continued with each side conducting chains and semi-chains. More dragons were sent and killed and massive amounts of ops were conducted. The holiday season also had a noticeable impact on activity as each side had provinces missing a hit here and there... one province even got killed due to not logging in to release into peasantry.
After 6 days of warring, the monarch of HoF approached the monarch of MW about a possible Mutual Peace. MW declined at the time because they still felt there was an opportunity for a win. Around 30 hours later though MW was not seeing the momentum swing in their favor like they had hoped, and so MW went back to HoF's monarch about the possibility of MP. This time it was HoF's turn to decline, and so the war continued for another 10 hours. Finally, on the 9th day of conflict, both monarchs agreed to Mutual Peace.

It was a lot of fun for Melee Weapons, a great opportunity for us to figure out a way to beat orc/clerics. Unfortunately we're still looking for the answer. Force grew alot, I hope the rest of the server gives them time to rebuild before vulturing, because we made sure they earned them acres.
