I'm sure you'd like to think that science has only gone and made kittens and puppies even cuter, but ever since people have figured out how to forge swords, we've been perfecting the best, most efficient way to kill each other. In fact, we've gotten so good at it, we have to put some ground rules or everyone would be dead.

The way I think, I compartmentalize things more than just religion/science. It's kind of complicated to explain.
