Bloodlords massacred just over 7k people within the monarchy of Mostly Harmless and then proceeded to plunder another province. At the time, Bloodlords (10.2 million NW, 60.6k acres) were towering over Mostly Harmless (9.1 million NW, 53.2k land).
Leadership within Mostly Harmless felt as though the Bloodlords had some weaknesses within their kingdom setup to exploit and so they decided to retaliate with just enough land grabs to keep relations from escalating to hostile. A province from Bloodlords made an ambush which gave the war button to Mostly Harmless ? it is unclear as to whether or not that ambush was accidental.
Mostly Harmless saw that most provinces within Bloodlords were drafted rather high, leaving low peasants at home. Mostly Harmless opted to target high networth provinces, especially with most of them home upon declaration of war. Mostly Harmless started and sent a ruby dragon, while Bloodlords decided upon an emerald beast. Mostly Harmless laid down meteor showers, riots, and fireballs for those provinces with higher peasants. They also did some nightstriking on provinces with low thieves per acre(tpa) in order to allow for multiple taps.
It was clear very early into the war, to leadership within Mostly Harmless, that they were more active than the initial aggressors. Mostly Harmless was working on their 2nd wave in war before Bloodlords could finish their first. Due to their ability to outhit the Bloodlords, Mostly Harmless decided they would not need to deep chain their opponents and so they continued to simply drop high networth provinces lower and lower as the war continued.
Mostly Harmless leadership attributes this war win to higher activity, and thank the Bloodlords for never killing their ruby pet. Bloodlords also did not manage to complete funding of their initial emerald dragon until just a few hours before withdrawing. Mostly Harmless leadership had around-the-clock target support for its members, while Bloodlords were unavailable to even provide comments on this war.
