They're not gonna tell you, because they don't want anyone else to know for sure who they are.

Back in the Swirve days, I was regularly in the Top25 (usually as an Avian Attacker or A/T) - but it's (obviously) been a while.

Still getting my feet wet getting back into Utopia, but I opted for Elf Shepherd M/T this Age. Over the years, I've come to appreciate having at least one Province in a Kingdom that can be a reliable source of Aid through hardships. Not to mention that the Building Bonuses from Shepherd not only makes it easier to keep pace with the Heavy Attackers in the Kingdom (via exploration) but also gives me some built-in flexibility in altering my strat when needed.

i suggest deleting and restarting if you're elf/shep. Age is only 3 days old so you won't lose much. Better to play a good setup and be 3 days late, than waste more time on such a stupid combo.

Are you SURE it's "such a stupid combo"?

6-Point Defense Specs are the best "bang for the buck" defense-wise. Halfling Elites cost 50% more, and Faery Elites (though offering 33% more defense) cost three times as much. The Avian attack speed bonus is pointless for a M/T, so that makes Elves one of the better choices for a defensive build.

Immunity to the Plague negates needing to expend Runes and Mana via NB for a CHANCE of countering it - ditto for Storms/Droughts. There are countless arguments over the effectiveness of Dragons - but being immune to them puts me in a better stance to help get rid of them for the sakes of my Kingdom-mates.

The combination of immunities, as well as the production bonus, makes my Food supply far more certain (and going M/T helps protect that supply) - again as much to support my Kingdom as for myself. Not to mention that I can forgo at least some Farms in favor of buildings to increase my effectiveness as a Mage/Thief.

True, Elf/Shepherd lacks the 'decisive edge' many other combos have, but it does have the fewest liabilities/vulnerabilities as well as the greatest ability to adapt to the unpredictable nature of Utopia. "Even the greatest of tactics are only effective until the first major incursion."

elf/shep thats not good. you wont be of any true help to your kd.

i went avian/sage. granted it will take longer to get off the ground then avian/tac, but once im off ill be a hard hitter in and out of war.
