Gains Formula During War

A general inquiry as to how the gains formula changes due to war status.

The Monarch of the Kingdom we're warring with is HUGE - as in 2000 acres, 300k NW huge (at least relative to our Provinces). She keeps sending out twin grabs against 100k-125k Provinces and still gets roughly 5% gains.

According to the formula in the Wiki, she'd get absolutely nothing for attacking any Province below 170k NW (regardless of RKNW).

So, either:

• A ) The Formula changes during war (and I can't find how it changes)
• B ) The Formula is bugged
• C ) There's some other factor that I'm overlooking

In war you get minimum gains of 3%. It's there so you can hit chained provinces and not get 0 acres. GBP effects are also lower in war.

GBP is capped at 20% reduction in gains in war, and KD NW is not factored in. And as others have said, min gains in war are 3%, so ~5% gains isn't unreasonable.

It's turning into an interesting war, to say the least. We started out Double-Hostiled - one the same NW w/much less land, the other 125% of both. We went with the latter, which was 117% our NW when war was declared.

Now we have the edge in NW and have several big attackers closing in on their Monarch. Four days now, and we're expecting them to withdraw before too much longer.

Got off to a shaky start coming out of a Double Hostile, but I think we've turned things around quite nicely.

How many provinces are in the opposing KD? Odd seeing >1/5 of the hits coming from 1 province.

20 in each. Their Monarch is so huge that she's sending out 2-3 attacks at a time (for 15-28 acres each).

And the rest of her kingdom is inactive eh? The monarch will keep gaining acres until she's at risk of getting broken then ull get ur war win

We've got six fairly-active attackers closing on on her. We've already crippled most of their attackers apart from one hyper Avian - who has thus far been chained from 1300 to 900 acres. Apart from a 1400-acre inactive, he's the last obstacle to starting in on her.


PS ~ You may have not noticed that a lot of their attackers kept using Anonymity, which somewhat skews their apparent activity.

I happen to know the kingdom youre talking about. They got 6 active attackers and 1 of them is on vacation. Just keep going should be easy war 20 vs 8 (or so) lol :D

Considering that they waved into us (on top of another Hostile) - as well as dealing with several inactives of our own - I can't quite bring myself to feel sorry for them.
