I have a question about thief dens. Do they reduce the chance that someone will have a successful OP on you?
Also, in theory is it possible to completely or near 100% prevent anyone from spying on your military?
Many thanks in advance!

No.. That is what Watch Towers are for... They do increase your MOD Tpa though and in that regard, it will help preventions....
I would say it is nearly impossible to keep "everyone" from getting intel from you..
Others may correct me if i'm wrong.
I wouldn't say impossible. If you had 24 raw TPA, 50% TDs, and 200% thief science, then you'd probably not have many people getting SoMs on you (that's 126 mTPA before any honor bonuses.) Which could be interesting. If someone can't get intel on you, then how will they know what to send to attack you? Could said province actually survive (they wouldn't wave any offense or defense...)

24 raw tpa????????
so imba
Think of what you could get with Prop :P

Yes, but would they be able to get a SoT on a 126 mTPA target?

Lolz
Or perhaps a super dragon killer/aid machine.
and based on your nw, they can just attack you blindly anyways. especially orc or UD. I used to do it all the time hehe no failures either
SoT has, as a general rule of thumb (afaik) a 1:4 TPA requirement - the reverse of the typically cited figure of 4:1 for NS. So to NS with high success, you need about 4x the enemy mTPA. To SoT with at least some success, you usually need about 25%, aka 1/4th, the enemy mTPA. So your 126 mTPA can have intel taken by someone with only around 25-26 mTPA. Which, while high, isn't unreasonable for a faery to run.
And, as noted, as soon as your intel is known, you *will* lose all your land. Because you have NW like a pumped prov, but can be hit 4x by everyone.
The way the game works - someone can *always* break you. Only the top prov is ever "safe" in a meaningful way, and only because there is noone bigger than him. Your faery T/M? Sure, 120 dpa might seem great... but if the enemy is 50% larger, he can just take it and you can't get it back. Same with thieves, same with magic - the best defense is a good offense. If you can hit harder than they can, they won't want to mess with you. Defense is that thing you do so they have to do at least a bit of work to damage you.
Think - you and they are trading double taps... every point of def you make is 2 points offense they need. But once you are only trading single hits... every point of defense only takes 1 point offense for them - and there are more offense mods and the NW cost is lower, so the offense is "cheaper" and therefore better. Same concept in thievery - either you want it to do damage (NS) and get the min mTPA to get the 4:1 ratio where you succeed a lot... or you want the min defense to drive off the thieves, or at least make them work harder.
it's vs. its is ambiguous - from now on I'm attempting to use the proper possessive it's, and the contraction 'tis. (Its will just be the plural.)
Think Different
Ethan, 126/4 is 31.5 mTPA, but you are correct one would still be able to get intel on the province, though the TPA required is rather high. It was just an amusing thought.
