#strategy usually has the most idlers at any given time. I think it started in 2007, and it's purpose was to be a channel where newbies and vets from different kingdoms could come together to discuss this game.

#tactics is a similar channel started up last year. I think there was some politics involved on the control of #strategy and about who was getting opped & banned there, so some people decided to leave that channel and make another one. There's less ppl in there but probably more talent.

Both are on the utonet server. Both are quiet the majority of the time. I bet at least 50% of the idlers are idling in both channels.

I recommend joining both and then judge for yourself which one you like better, or if you like both.
