How to build an unbreakable province?

Got chained a few times and that's AUCH for me... should i have more def for protection or more off to scare them off? can anyone tell me how to have fun with this game without being sad all the time?

I never gotten beyond 1kacres this age, cos someone always found me and tm me... >.<
All I want is to be able to steal others dinner, some destruction over other's province for fun..
land grab? paradise would be just nice for me.. and of course, no financial burden... able to fund science for a little bit of spice...

I just wan to keep fun with the game...

1. Explore a massive amount during protection.
2. Have your kingdom send you tons of aid in soldiers and gc. If you don't have 90% tax, you are doing it wrong.
3. Keep exploring and casting paradise.
4. Outgrow everyone else and build more defense than anyone has offense.
5. Make CF deals with any kingdom that threatens your province.
6. Don't ever war. Just keep exploring and training.

if you try to follow the above steps, you will most likely end up being very sad.

Only way to not get chained in war is to be useless, but you don't want that.

If you never war, then get 45 dpa with your d-specs, and 100 opa with your leets (hope you're an attacking race) and that should be enough to keep most people from attacking you. if somebody does, ambush them and trad march them!

These steps are exactly, completely, 100% right. I checked in with the biggest unbreakables I know this age and they all confirmed that this is true.

issit the result wil be def not fast enough to catch up with incoming land, and make myself a juicy target to attack? to be honest, i had tried what was proposed above, but the fact is, no way am able to catch up with what is suppose to be there..

1. you'll get farmed OOP for exploring too much and not defending
2. You're in a ghetto, so they wont be able to send you that much aid.
3. You'll be getting farmed faster than you're growing by members of top kingdoms!
4. You can't outgrow everyone else. Goodz got close once (age 39), but he had friends in high places and is a master diplomat evidently! You also can't have more defense than anyone has offense unless you run 90% draft, and go full leet faery. Even then, they'll bounce wave you till they feed off you!
5. You have to be able to make them ACCEPT the CF you are offering them! This wont happen. You're free land!
6. Only way to do it would be to war constantly so you're under -75% gains protection, but then explore costs are high and you can't Dice...

My reasons why it would fail, I'm sure gergnub can give better reasons though!
