*nods* Good point grof, and I read that somewhere else last night too. I think I will do that.

Have been considering quite a few changes to my build based on all this info given, and I really really appreciate it:) If anyone else has anything to add, feel free!

I'll add consider not ALWAYS razing all your stables, its costly and in some cases the gold you spend on doing that would be better off directed towards a dragon (#1 or #2).

Thats a good point too, persain, and I considered that. But stables would be the ONLY thing Id have to raze during war, and being a merchant with 18% banks and lessened casualties so lessened training new troops I would hope I could easily afford to do that. If I run into problems with that though, I will definately consider not razing them.

I am also presenting my proposed changes to my province to my kingdom for their feedback, so they may touch on that point as well, and if so I will respect their wishes.

Heads up in case you do want raze them, the timing is the issue when it comes to the gc costs. If your kd gets waved, and u guys want to push war asap, a few tm to hit unfriendly and declare instantly the gold is 99% of the time more important for the dragon. IF on the other hand your kd takes the time to plunder out to fund dragons, you probably can hit, raze stables and fund dragon with remaining gc...you just wont be able to hold your army for opening war wave. For your kd waving the timing is the same but its based on your guess of what the other kd will do, instead of what your kd plans are.

Wouldn't it make more sense to raze after the war starts? That way I KNOW there will be a war, dragon probably already funded - or mostly funded.

You could, but the concept of running and razing stables is typically that you NEEDED those buildings in your build asap. So its usually worth the risk to try to guess at timing. For example if u look at the intial build i gave you are running 15% TG, 10% rax and 8% stables. You want that 20% TG and 13% rax asap so if u can tear down stables pre war u can have the buildings finished by your first in war hit. Also if u waited till war started there's a chance either your gold got stolen or some one in your kd needs the gold to survive (ignoring dragon usage atm) and you feel like a jerk if you spend it on yourself.

Dragon use....if it costs you say 150k to rebuild all your stables and 20 attackers in your kd did this thats 3 million gc which is a large portion of a dragon, thus if your kd say had finished dragon 1 why not spend it on dragon 2.

*nods* I see your point. It seems very situational, depending on the apparent chances of a wave resulting in a war.

Get some dungeons. Best building in the game.

    2-3% and you're set.

At 1000 acres, razing and rebuilding a stable costs about 1300gc. 1300gc for 60 essentially offense points that don't count towards your maximum poplulation comes to about 22gc per offense point... compare to 350+draft cost per offensive specialist, which will be around 80gc per offense point that does count towards your maximum population, and raze-rebuilding the stables makes a lot of sense. This is presuming a lot of things however, and of course funding a dragon is probably more important. It also means that you have to wait 14 hours with 10% or more of your land under construction, which can leave you vulnerable. I find it better to wait until the war is underway and dragon is already sent off, and then find the money to raze-rebuild while spec credits take care of training the new draftees.
