Pixar, following their recent war with Sa1nts were eager to test themselves against another well-known kingdom. After some deliberating, it was decided that they would bring the fight to Divinity. Divinity, however, were just out of war with Archangels and had wanted to have more time to rebuild. Even though Pixar started hostile activities on Saturday, Divinity did not respond until Sunday evening. This gave them time to stock some gold and to get everyone ready.
Pixar's plan for the hostile wave was to target Divinity's highest offence provinces, attempting to achieve semi-chains despite pre-war GBP. Pixar succeeded on taking a few hundred acres initially, which undoubtedly had a negative effect on those provinces offence. The degree of damage is unknown.
Pixar were holding back on their ops at this point and hoped for a quick reaction from Divinity. They did start spreading greed, at this time Pixar also started a Ruby dragon and funded it down to 1gc. While this was happening Pixar received a message from Divinity which seemed to hint that they would indeed be up for entering a conflict, but thirty hours after the initial wave. Divinity had made a retaliation and started op'ing into Pixar at this point, land lusting and stealing resources. Six hours after Pixar's wave, Divinity also started a Ruby dragon of their own.
Pixar were under the assumption that hostile might now last thirty hours. They decided to perform a learn wave on Divinity's Orcs, aiming to take as many books as possible, having little accumulated science of their own. In the end, around 320k books were taken. That went alongside a couple of massacres. Pixar hoped to gain more science than they did but were happy with the amount of troops killed since they were not gaining land unnecessarily at this point.
Divinty sent random retals against Pixar's Faeries, but not enough to give away any hostile ops. To minimize the damage, Pixar aided soldiers to their faeries and got them to explore and regain some lost land. Pixars next wave was split. The Avian's armies had returned more swiftly. Their objective was simple. Target the high offence provinces and try to overpopulate them. As the wave ended...
February 22 of YR6 We have declared WAR on Pixar - Hostile
Divinity sent out their Ruby dragon and followed it up by chaining Pixar's Faeries, combining them with chains on Pixar's Humans. The Humans were chosen since they would not be able to recover as well as Pixar's Avians. Pixar killed the dragon Divinity set upon their kingdom and waited to send theirs until their armies had returned, not wanting it to go to waste. Pixar's chained Faeries were all able to get online and fight the dragon, helping to quell the damage to their provinces.
Pixar proceeded to nightstrike two targets while casting tornadoes upon another two provinces, with the latter two quickly getting chained. Divinity countered by deep chaining Pixar's heavy hitting provinces, launching another Ruby dragon to complement their attacks and ensure they could hit double and triple taps.
Pixar added a couple of in-war massacres against Divinity, testing their strength, but unfortunately Pixar found them to be ineffective and switched back to chaining. Pixar's chained provinces directed their attention to a province that had already been nightstriked, using that province to try and recoup all the land that they could. For the rest of Pixar their attacks went out between 3 Orcs, with each province trying to land at least a double tap. Ambushes were also sent if they were decided to be worthwhile. Pixar were also pooling soldiers to aid their chain provinces right away, rebuilding defences lost to overpopulation, also using Land lust to try and limit any on-going population damage. Pixar's strategy became nightstriking one target while chaining two targets with each wave, sending their spare offences at chained provinces, while their own chained provinces ambushed and hit the provinces targeted by Night Strike. Pixar were also blanketing meteors showers across Divinity's Orcs and Undeads, attempting to cripple some armies.
Divinity switched to semi-chains as the war progressed, their aim to take down Pixar's larger provinces into the mid-range, attempting to also lower their overall peasant count. A steadily growing networth gap became evident. Pixar also noticing this gap decided that chaining Orc's was not really working with their additional gains sciences. Instead Pixar started to send out attacks for maximum gains, most of their kingdom fighting back with multiple hits each. Pixar however held back their larger armies and started training defence. This gave the impression that with minimum time approaching that Pixar would be withdrawing. This lead Divinity to order a maximum gain wave, some attacks targeted Pixar's provinces with armies home. These hits on the provinces with held armies were immediately ambushed by Pixar. These provinces also went on to hit Divinity's larger provinces once each. Pixar's plan was for their armies to return home first, giving them a much improved position for chaining Divinity's larger provinces.
Noticing Pixar's obvious willing to continue the fight, Divinity started work on trying to break that will. Already leading in land and networth Divinity sent an Emerald dragon, to try and stifle any renewed vigour presented by Pixar. They accompanied this by mixing maximum gains with chaining. Pixar were busy changing their builds to gain them a more economic advantage, mixing in more homes, banks and armouries into their existing buildings. Pixar were starting to train more defence using these tactics. Their larger provinces were concentrating on making smart hits on Divinity, keeping more defence. They used their remaining smaller provinces to control Divinity's chained provinces, pushing them further down. Pixar at some point also noticed a weakening TPA on Divinity's Halfling Monarch, stealing around 400k gold and 20k runes. Pixar also dealt with the Emerald dragon, no longer fearing for their large provinces being chained down as they were holding a lot more army home.
Even with this new strategy showing good results Pixar realised that to win this war would mean being stuck in war longer than they wanted to be, so Pixar decided to make one last wave aimed at taking honour and....
June 10 of YR6 Pixar has withdrawn from war. Our people rejoice at our victory!
With the conclusion of the war period Divinity moved their war record to a flawless 4/4, hot on the heels of Strippers, will they take the War Win crown this age? Pixar unfortunately remain stuck on one win, their record now standing at 1/3. However, let us not forget how recently this kingdom was formed and the quality of opponents that they have set themselves against. This reporter is expecting to see a bright future for Pixar.
