2. Did a SOM / SOT of enemy (83k def) and copied to Angel
3. Calculated with Angel 86k offense
4. Sent attack within 10 seconds of SOT
attack failed. what gives?

Was the target a monarch? If the target had 83000 def point you need to send 86320 offensive point to be 100% sure.
now that I look at angel closer, when I check / uncheck the monarch box it has no impact on def. I assumed that when I saw the check it meant his def (119% efficiency) already included this king bonus. shoot. thx.

In any event you need to oversend by about 4%, so it could be a very unlucky RNG.
calculus is your friend, not angel
There's not one bit of calculus needed for utopia

but you know what i mean. plus calculus could be used in some instances
