    Show monarch's nobility rank on kingdom page

    Long ago, the only way to determine the monarch of a kingdom was the "King" or "Queen" nobility title on the kingdom page.

    Then, the color of their name on the kingdom page changed to denote the monarch.

    Then, the (M) popped up next to their name to denote the monarch.

    Then the monarch bonuses went away, making the "King" and "Queen" title officially irrelevant.

    So if we have two ways to recognize the monarch of a kingdom, color and (M), plus nothing statistically that differentiates the "King" or "Queen" title from any other nobility title, why still have it?

    It'd be nice to both a) be able to show off your achieved nobility rank as the monarch, and b) see the other monarch's rank, just like any other province, so we know what kinds of honor bonuses they are getting.

    The Steward has an (S), but is still shows their regular nobility title, so why not let the Monarch have their (M) as well as a regular nobility title as well?

    If you're that interested, why not just take an SOT?

    Edit: My bad. I obviously haven't paid enough attention to my SOT's besides the O/D/BE figures.

    I always thought it was kind of odd that the monarch's nobility level was hidden in KD view. Was there a reason for it, or did it just evolve that way?

    The monarch was originally a ranking of it's own with special bonuses that overrode any existing honor ranking bonuses.

    Now that the bonuses are gone and it's no longer a type of nobility ranking, there's really no need for the King or Queen title anymore, because it doesn't mean anything related to in-game bonuses and we don't need it there to see who the monarch is with the (M) and red colored text covering that just fine. Wow that felt like an extra long sentence...

    SoT does not show honor for the monarch. It shows "King" or "Queen" like everyone else shows "Count" and so forth. The only way to see the honor of a monarch is if they're on the individual charts somewhere.

    If you are trying to determine their honor status just pre-war when peoples' population is usually at ~100% capacity. You can determine it by their population/acre. You simply need SoS + Survey, then you an figure out how much of a pop % bonus they are getting from honor.

    During war it's not so simple.

    Now tt monarchy bonus are done away. I still feel having the "King/Queen" title helps veil the amount of honor and therefore bonuses the king/queen have. Without it, the king is even more susceptible to attacks and ops then with it.

    I don't really see how this is true. Anyone is susceptible to thievery and magic when they are a chosen target, and most folks don't choose targets based on their honor during wars, unless you're specifically going for their honor, in which case the monarch needs to be on an even playing field with the rest of their kingdom. They get the same benefits and bonuses from their honor as everyone else now, so why not put them on equal footing as targets as well?

    Not all monarches need to be kings or queens, they could be princes or princesses, dukes or duchees too.

    How can you have an army carry 203 acres back in 12 hours? It's a game...

    King = Red
    Steward = Orange

    Sorted. If it is to much "how can you have a prince king" change "king" to "commander" You can have Commander Princes.

    its not that they carry acres back rather than take some time to capture and secure them to add them to your controlled acres. your acres dont have to be next to each other to own them. they should still be kings in my opinion.

    Everything in the game addresses the "Monarch" so why not just give them that title and avoid needing King or Queen as a secondary title?

    Nobility ranks equate directly to in-game numeric bonuses.

    King and Queen have no in-game numeric bonuses attached to them.

    So why do they still exist?
