1:1.5 o-spec/elite ratio is fine
Sorry, I am kinda new! What do I set my draft rate to? Do I keep it at 20% or increase it?
So a 1 to 1 ratio for Off spec to Elite is ok?
increase it way up fallow! 65% is a good goal after about a week out of protection.
and spec/leet ratio depends on what you're playing. you playing human too?

Hey bud welcome.to utopia. You can turn ur target draft to 0% if u are still in the first 19 hours of prot... After that Set ur draft percentage to 70%. Keep patriotism cast. Don't train ur army till 19 hours before leaving protection. Cast inspire army before training.
As a new player, I think a good ratio for u would be 1:1.5
Get someone in ur kd to tech u how to properly take intel and, attack
Ah crud, I've already started drafting and training soldiers :( I still have 56 hours left in prot. Should I set draft to 0% still and wait until 19 hours before then
stop training your troops until 19 hours before OOP!
and it sort of depends on how many soldiers you have... If you're active, keep an eye on your training page to keep track of how many soldiers you can train compared to how many soldiers you have. If you have 1K more soldiers than you can train, then stop drafting! If you have less than 500 more soldiers than you can train, you should probably start drafting soon

The best place to get tips is from your kingdom mates.
I suggest that until you get better acquainted with the game you ask your kingdom mates any and all questions you ask here. Your kingdom may have specialized goals and strategies.
If you find that your kingdom forum is less active then this forum ... then I suggest leaving your kingdom and finding a new one; if that is the case. the recruiting page can be a good place to go.
DDodge, are you training any Dspecs?
What about 2:1:1 ospec:dspec:leet ratio?

Yeah it looks like I am in a ghetto kingdom, but I think this may be a good place for me to learn about how it all works again! Just getting a general strat to work with is good and you have given me some good information :) thanks!

no d-specs bro!!! seriously!!! would be a waste.
o-specs are amazing cause of the 6 points and only being 4 nw. elites is ur core and is only 5 nw for a 5/5 unit. no d-specs
Why not just go all specs for defence??
Been away many an age so I don't really get how things work. Why is it worth paying double for the same defence? Sure flexibility is nice but why 100% elite for def instead of like 50/50
O specs are 4 nw? You sure they aren't 4.8
