    Bribe Generals?

I am not sure how this works...

Effect:Effectively a 1 in 5 chance per attack to increase troop losses by 15% on all combat.
Operation Message: Our thieves have bribed an enemy general!

So what is the best way to do this op? Send 1 thief or max?
How long does it last for?

I've never used it nor do I very often see it used in any strategy. If anyone can shed some light as to how this works exactly that'd be great :)

Would you do it 5 times to bribe all of the generals? If I do bribe all of the generals does that mean the person attacking with 4 bribed generals has above 15% combat losses?

More thieves give it longer duration, but it's always effective for the tick that it's used. Usually an attacker will use 1 thief bribes with spare stealth. This also doesn't care about the orc penalty to ops, so it's a good op for them to use.

It's not a high priority, but if you have the stealth to spare you might as well.

it doesn't stack. if you send 1 thief and it works it will work till end of tick. Its not really known the max duration or how many youd have to send to get max duration. Also not sure how damage mods affect it, or if anything mods affects in some way.

Ahhh ok! I see, so you'd need to time it right for when the person hits or make sure you do it before you hit them?

    It stacks with pitfalls then?

But 1 in 5 chance is a little lame? I mean how are you going to know if your attack just so happened to be the one and causes the 15% extra combat losses. Seems a little erratic and not worth the stealth?

It's a fairly easy op to get off, and since you only need to send 10 your not taking thief losses, so not a bad use of heavy attacers stealth. It only affects defensive. It does stack with emerald/pitfalls/bloodlust/whatever.

edit: it does affect offense as well.

It only effects defensive? Does 15% on all combat not mean attacking too?

Yeah it is perfect for heavy attackers to use stealth on!

Just checked guide and it says all attacks. I thought it was just defensive like PF, but could be wrong. if its offensive, just go off of SoM for when they get bak and plop it on then.

I would assume all attacks during that tick. Primarily looks like it is used when chaining, but if you're lucky enough to BG when they make a hit then that is good too!

Thanks Nooblet, but in all seriousness the chance of throwing down a BG when they make their hit is slim unless you're both online at the time and you know they're going to hit. I mainly see it usefulness if chaining a target.

its pretty simple if theyre an attacker... they should be army in army out so the tick they are home drop a bg on them and presto if they dont send out then they should be chained anyway easy leet kills

So next Q: is it gone after 1 attack by them/on them? or does it stay for the unknown time?

Stays on the target regardless of how many attacks are made till its duration runs out
