    Annoying a T/M

Whats the most annoying thing an attacker can do to a thief/mage? other than simply take your land. For instance what difficulties may a thief/mage encounter when messing with a heavy attacker?

Reflect magic? Chaining is the only thing I can think of.

It depends on what race/personality combo the T/M is as you can annoy different ones with different tactics. I will use Mystic and Rogue as an example as these have two different methods to annoy.

Against Mystic have Reflect Magic up and if Meteor Showers gets reflected on them it will annoy the hell out of the T/M.

Against Rogue if they constantly use Propaganda and drop their BE down to lets say 80% BE from 100% BE then hold off on sending a dragon until they lose the extra troops. This will annoy the T/M and force them to utilize other tactics or overpopulate themselves to where they can't use thievery if they continue.
T/Ms apparently = black sheep of Utopia.

I like having the kingdom's heavy attackers use spare runes to cast lightning strike on the mystics. It might fail a good amount, but just one landing can get rid of alot of runes.

against stupid t/ms, keep retraining **** and do everything to screw up their econ damage. bad t/ms think purely in offensive terms, good t/ms know that econ wins wars.

also if you're fighting significant rogues, keep up patriotism. unless fireballed, you'd probably want pat up anyway. magic shield, and of course RM + CS are givens as well. IA is also good to have if training a lot during war, and even without that the little bit of extra cash is useful.

mostly though, the best situation is to be in a position where your t/ms can op their t/ms, and suck up a huge fail rate.

Even against Rogues, 15%+ watch towers are enough to frustrate them even a little bit. They may still do the damage, but they'll waste extra stealth.

WT are especially annoying for a rogue -.- a building that is specifically designed to counter their personality? yeah okay sign me up

against a non rogue you can put up a reasonable TPA and just defend with that, but an experienced rogue will eat through any defensive TPA you could ever consider, just because mods for offense greater exceed defensive mods.... that is unless you play halfling with TD's as some thing other than an a/T (/me stares at kees)
