When did Utopia Grow so Soft

We had a kingdom ask us for war, and so ... a few hours later we waved the mess out of them. We then get a message that says...you noobs, you should of let us know that you wanted to war.......why? so we can let you get ready?

They then send a CF and call us lame?

As far as I can tell, if you are going to ask me to war you...you should have already been ready? They were 22 provinces and we were 18. They had 4 more attackers than us too...go figure.

We finished our wave, and accepted the CF...

Started target searching, and everywhere I look...MSG4WAR, or STFO in Hostile...really? How bout, we just wave you so you can CF us too. This game is growing soft.

    Yawn.

Of course you should let them know. It's proper etiquette.
They gave you head notice they were looking for war, you can have the courtesy to do the same.
Besides they probably sent out the message to several kingdoms, so now they're in a position they can be waved by many kds.

They messaged you so they can arrange a war. Not so you could jump them while they are preparing to wave a diff kingdom.

Lol. You're kidding, right? But you're not....

Yes, utopia has grown soft. People message each other to war or wave, ruining the whole point of the game. A main reason why I don't play.

I just experienced the same thing with a kd. They message us wanting war, we send message back andsend like 3 hits into them and then we get flooded with hatorade from the peeps we hit complaining about how "dispicable we are". In the end they refuse to war.

Messaging for war is best way to do war in ghetto land, but it is funny how temperamental most kd's are.

    Thumbs up

It's because you're playing for WWs/honor, which i have said many times before, is only causing the slow death of the game.

Devs need to get rid of everything besides land/nw charts, so ppl will realize WWs/Honor is not what the game is all about, and u won't find neone arranging nething, and hence ull get more fun. After you get rid of WWs/Honor, then you can change game mechanics to support land/nw only. Is it really a good thing that i can run a 10 player kd, go 5/5 wws in a round, and then feel like i won? This casual sh*t has got to go.

Problem is ppl r too scared to make extreme changes, so you'll see the slow death of the game. Without risk there is no reward.

Many of the ghetto's are looking to war, so I guess the quickest way of getting into a war is to send out requests to like-minded KD's with a war proposal. Those who play the same way will respond with a message, and perhaps a wave some time later (after making some adaptions etc). Call it a code of chivalry or something along those lines.

Since your (OP) KD decided to just go with a wave, their code of chivalry gets broken and their way of getting a war gets messed up. Their way of getting a war relies on written replies from the 10-20 KD's they contacted, rather than getting 5-10 incoming waves. Otherwise they would just have to message KD's one at a time, which would almost be equally slow as making the wave's. They want wars quick and clean, they don't necessarily want to wave for days on end without getting into a war.

I don't really see the point of coming here to complain about it either. Just adapt to the situation. If you prefer to wave others to get into a war, just do so.
And if you get a written invite like that, just be smart and reply with something like "Yes King "Lame", our kingdom will try to rise to the occasion and give you a worthy war. We shall begin our assault on your kingdom in 24-48 hours. May the best Kindom win".. etc

    Yawn.
The msg4war stuff is lame. But STFO in hostile, imo thats valid.
Im a big fan of just waving kingdoms, or being waved / semi-waved as it so happens (palem, thanks), and then just dealing with it best you can whatever.

But if a kingdom is in a hostile with another kingdom, and are going to war, then you stay the fark out.

well i disagree you have three kinds of hostile situations
one where the lame msg was used to agree on a war, if both kd's rrly want to war they can push into war within a very small time limit not allowing other kingdoms to wave them during their hostile. If this drags on too long i believe they are doing something seriously wrong.

second is where one kingdom decides to wave another, if you get waved aswell don't start to whine but push it to war and prove them wrong imo

third is where ppl claim to be in a hostile ( there is no way to see if they are real or not) and abusing this to hit other provinces while hiding after an stfo hostile msg. well if you're talking about lame...

conclusion stfo hostile is never valid.

and i agree with needing more kd's filled with arrogant jerks and a don't give a **** i want to war or farm the balls away from yar body attidude.

btw the best way to get a war is making their is some serious hatred against your kingdom and keep acting like an ass on speed, you'll defo see war but this strategy might blow up in your face at the end. Oh well fun has a price.

Thats why we have snatch news, check to see if the hostile is real.
And your first statement and if they taking too long to take it too war then there is something wrong? Never heard of a long hostile? If a kingdom has STFO hostile, check that its valid, if its not, farking farm them. If it is valid, then stay the fark out. Legitimate hostile is legitimate hostile.

Ive always stood by, checking, if kingdom is in hostile with another kingdom regardless of how long they been in it, if they are trading hits, its legitimate. You run around double hostiling kingdoms that are busy with another kingdom, that only gets you 1 thing, double hostiled back.

I have been double hostiled in the past, and the kingdoms diplo was basically too bad. Which is fine, i took it, dealt with it the best way the kingdom could. That kingdom that double hostiled waved a friendly kingdom, so we mass waved them, and sent drake, and then other kd pressed the button.

Be a jerk, get treated like a jerk. Its simple.

If its fake, its fake, so farm.
I dont message people for war. That is poo.

It's a war game, always be ready for war right...

I can see the point of messaging kingdoms, but why not just wave them after you have snatched news. That has always been my logic, and if they don't want to war...you either

a - stand down and accept their cf
b - farm sci for a wave and move on.

If you are going to ask for a war, you should already have been/made preparations.

It's life in this game, everyone has been double waved, everyone has been in a situation where the other kingdom won't war, and you have to move on...

I only made the post to see what the overwhelming consensus was regarding starting a war.
