    Releasing troops in eowcf

So I have never used this idea before and when I was told to do so by my steward(who eda da poopoos <3) I thought he was crazy. I was told to release my specs back to pezzies for the added gc they would produce. Now there is some debate if this is the optimal thing to do or if saving the credits after a win is better. We have had 4 wars now and I have done this every time because I have complete trust in my stew. It seems to work. Icome out of eowcf with100% elite off and have about 1mil left over. I would just like to get others take on it.

It depends on what you need to do during EoWCF.

rough calculations to your theory or figures that the reader can compare (coz i'm currently lazy to try testing it in the province sim)

I am no math genius but I can try beaver dude. I am at 1700 acres and I released 6.5k O and D specs. Max pop is 48273. pezzies is 39283. it will take me roughly 45-47 ticks to be fully drafted to target draft. my draft now is 16%.

are these the numbers you wanted?

what is your full draft (%)?
Do you stop training upon release?
if not, what is your draft rate?
if yes, when will you start drafting and what is the rate?

my target draft is 70%. I do stop drafting as soon as I release. I will start drafting again 57 hours before eowcf ends to be fully drafted and trained. I draft on emergency+pat.

It depends on your sci, race (if you have TOG), personality (merchant or not), draft rate, and how many armories/banks you got.

In most cases, you will more than make back the cost of retraining those released specs, so you should release. If you are a human merchant with 20% income sci running high banks/armories then it will even make sense to release absolutely everything you have right at eowcf (except thieves to prevent getting robbed).

Special mention: Halfers should release thieves down to reasonable levels as they are their cheapest unit.

Its not worth releasing specs unless you have ToG/merchant/sage lateage. That or you dont get peasant bonus on war end and have less than 2-300 pezzies. Most provs will need 60-70 ticks to make doing this worth it and if you start drafting even at 36 hours before oop its not worth it without super high income bonuses

Releasing specs into solds to explore is viable too, but having too many solds sitting around isnt resource efficient either mind you.

Elf dude the theory has been tested by me now for 4 wars. And been tested by my queen and stew for many ages. It seems to work very well but I just want other opinions. I am actually avian cleric running 30% banks 30 arms and 20 guilds during eowcf. I was just confused by the spec credits I get for war wins. Is it worth releasing and using credits to rebuild or trying to save the credits for next war. I guess it depends on a case by case thing.
