Starting dragon and sending much later - NW difference

If you start a dragon against a KD that is say 8 million NW, there's a set price you have to fund. However, if their NW falls drastically, to say 4 million, won't the HP of the dragon drop significantly as well? Would you have overpaid for the dragon?

Not really. They just lost half their nw. I doubt they're in good shape to be killing a dragon, regardless of how much health it has.

If you are still in range, cancel it and start again. (If you haven't been funding it)

Good advice assuming his kd didn't increase in NW (which would lead to higher cost).
