    Utopia Simulators

    Hi pplz.

    Been at work (still am) hence the delay, but both simulators have been more or less updated for the new changes.

    Munk's Prov Sim
    This is a web-based simple excel-like prov sim.

    Updates: Added Rogue/Cleric/Mystic, fixed a couple bugs and then updated race/pers changes.


    uSim: Utopia Simulator
    This is a full-on explorable uto simulator.

    Only updated race/pers/troop changes.

    Recent Bug Fixes:
    Display bug regarding sage sci cost. Sci cost was being accounted for but was not being displayed correctly.
    War Hero's -50% train bonus also gave them an explore cost bonus. This was fixed also.

    Toadi (whom retired from uto about 4 years back iirc) was the only other programmer involved in writing the uSim simulator.
    munk wrote the prov sim, so all I've been doing to it is making minor updates and small changes here or there.

    Other than that, just ppl reporting bugs is the extent of any other involvement, and that is always welcome and appreciated :)

    I have a planned update for it, but I have not been able to afford the time to the project.

    The planned future features are:
    Automated sci distribution (customizable)
    Automated military training
    automated self-spells
    spell casting successful by default, tick to fizzle.
    remember last spell cast


    Essentially, when you start the age you can turn on sci and automate it to distribute your sci into a specified ratio every x hours. You'd be able to automate recasting self spells, and then automate your training when that time comes. It'll speed up the process a lot.

    I'm considering "save points", but not considering at this point an undo/back button option.

    yes to automated training, and super yes to having an undo button (lord knows how many times i've had to scrap sims to undo one mistake)

    can you set up the bot to account for Mystic's longer selfspell duration? afaik the sim always returns the same results, regardless of how many guilds someone has. i know the formula is randomized a lot, but i'm used to 25+ hours of LP, and it throws off calculations when i have to recast magic every so often.

    Sim spell casting is manually entered. You guestimate that, not me.

    just a minor thing you can update for next age: Freeze -> Jan 1 Yr 0 is actually a tick, so in-game our buildings arrive on Jan 16 but on your sim they come in on Jan 17. Just a minor fix of changing the first page we visit (after entering our prov details) to "Freeze" instead of January 1, YR0.

    Excellent stuff. And a pleasant surprise that exploring is cheaper in reality than in the sim :)
