If your kd is below top 20 in size you will get randomed and even waved because you are hostile tagged. Also during a hostile you might loose nwpa and your province shows up in target searcher such as stinger and the new ingame searcher.

Sanctuary didn't call in help of my KD. Just unfortunate randoms into a one sided hostile.

We've been hit more times when we've been tagged hostile than not. Some people are just douchebags and look for kds tagged hostile and hope its free land. It's usually not people calling in help.

I don't know if people are actively targetting hostile tags, or how common it is if they are .
Personally I just ignore the tags because the abuse/misrepresentation of hostile status by people thinking it's going to get them hit less is too common.
Bothering to check is likely to cost me a non-trivial amount of stealth that could be better used stealing resources or getting me more intel that is actually useful to me.
Make SN a 1% op of similar difficulty as SoT and people may actually bother to check whether your tag is legit or not.

I'd agree except SN can be an effective intel tool strategically. Hostile tag is doubtless a trigger for a minority. Just a condition of the game.
