IRC channels?

So I'm on my second age in Utopia with a kd that has taught me the wonders of IRC. Are there any basic channels that aren't connected to a particular kingdom (or group of kingdoms? I don't know) to basically chat about the game and other random stuff.

Our own kd channel is usually pretty empty when it's not wartime, and let's be honest, getting even 5 of 20 or so people from around the world online at once is a miracle. I don't have any IRL friends who play except my husband, and I want to talk and ask questions and discuss my love of war horses :)

I'm also open to great IRC channels in general, even though I'm not really sure how to be on multiple servers. I'm sure I can figure it out, though.
